Brief
Create an original press event, completely different from the norm, that could communicate the wide variety of activities that one can expect to participate in on an adventure holiday.
Concept
Vodka, Tapas & the Duck Bus!

Rather than organise a run-of-the-mill press event in a restaurant or hired room, the client wanted something that was more ‘fun’ with different aspects that the press in attendance would remember.

Campaign
A press list was put together and guests invited to the unusual event which would take place at different venues in central London.

The press event was in three stages: It commenced with a drink in an ‘ice vodka bar’. On leaving the bar, the press were greeted with the sight of one of London’s famous amphibious ‘Duck Bus’s which had been privately hired for the occasion.

The group were driven through London with a commentary on all the famous landmarks passed by an expert tour leader before plunging into the Thames for a ride down the river.

After the ride on the Duck Bus, the group enjoyed a tapas lunch aboard a Spanish Galleon that is permanently moored on the River Thames.

Result
All press in attendance agreed that it was one of the most original events that they had ever attended and thoroughly enjoyed themselves; they left feeling extremely positive towards the client.

A number of press trips to a variety of countries featured by the client occurred as a direct result of the multi-faceted press function.
